Is it okay to give to someone you are living with the "silent treatment"?
You could just tell him that you'd like some time to let the emotions that you felt fade. That way you can help him fully understand why you want your time alone and he doesn't misunderstand. Perhaps you could also talk it out with a friend so that you have a second opinion and are more objective about what happen(I find that once I say what's bothering me out loud and talk about it that it gets easier to let the past be instead of causing myself turmoil over it) But don't take too much time to sort yourself. Once you get into the habit of being awkward it might become difficult to be open again. I suggest planning something special to look forward to together and to jump start the old routines of regular life.
