Why does it take so long to get new medical discoveries approved?

Mostly companies are afraid of getting sued. So they have to test it forever. Lots of Aids drugs have been tested for 10 years or more. Thats why drugs cost so much because of all the testing. They don't have that in other countries/. Thats why they are cheaper in other places. Won't get any better under Obama either.
