Why does my cat meow so much at his water? ?

some cats have a fasination with water. have you ever gotten a bath and left the door open. most cats will come and sit on the side of the tub and observe. others love to bat at it and are curious enough to want to get in, but obviously most cats are too afraid. how often do you change his water? my cat loves the water as cold as i can get it and does what i call the curly toes as he drinks it.(when a cat knits at a blanket or on something to get comfortable.) i find he gets even more fascinated when i drop an icecube in his water. if he really, really drinks alot more then you think is normal he might be really dehydrated from something. does he play alot or is he really hyper? he seems like he is fine but you could easily call a vet just to ask what is the normal amount of water a cat should drink and tell them how old he is and around how much he weighs. good luck hun and take care.
