Anyone familiar with the program, Home Defender, that comes with the Cisco router?

Purchased a Cisco router a few weeks ago. Installed the software. Part of the installation asked if I wanted "Home Defender" installed. Selected , yes. The program blocks access to certain sites. Violence, horrific etc. I thought it blocks people from accessing the network. The only way to get past it is, to reset and reconfigure the router and reinstall the software. That I dont want to do since everything is all set up. The prgm is a 30 day trial offer. After 30 days I ume it disables itself and then it wouldnt block any sites. Does that sound correct?
