Its starting to get cold here (like really cold) and i was wonderin?

I got my baby a coat thingy, lol its furry on the outside and Cotton on the inside (its winnie the pooh i got it from target) its a body suit one, and im just wondering do think thats too warm for right now? for outside of course, or should i just put her in a long sleeve shirt pants and a jacket and cover her up with warm blankets ( cause she seems to get really hot usually and i dont wanna make her to hot, what are you using right now, i live in illinois.
