When you go to the doctor, do you see a nurse practitioner, or do you only go to a physician?

Also, what's your opinion of the "Health Care Team" model where five nurse practitioners handle the majority of seeing patients, while a General Practitioner serves as a "Coach" - seeing some patients but primarily supervising the team's activities: performing case reviews, consultations and hospital admissions; a clerical person is igned to each team to handle scheduling and claims?
