Hair question?????????

a strand of my hair got accidentally pulled out when i took my headphones off, it somehow got caught in it and it's irritating! when i inspected the strand it looked like it came off with its root, since the tip has a white color, plus the root was also coated with i don't know how to explain it but it looks like the stem of the root but when i tried to remove it and rubbed it , it just felt like a flake that just happened to wrap around it i don't know.. if the strand came off with the stem and root, will that particular follicle grow hair again??
